The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for Children and Youth (ICF-CY) is a WHO approved “derived” classification based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). The aim of this course is to show updated proces of rehabilitation, as one of comprehensive system according WHO and to present how ICF can assist in scientific research by providing a framework or structure for interdisciplinary research in disability and for making results of research comparable from multiprofesional and international point of view.

Cílem předmětu je seznámení se s aktuálním modelem rehabilitace jako uceleného systému z pohledu WHO a pohledu ICF. Těžiště předmětu spočívá v návodu k pochopení širokých možností využívání uvedené klasifikace v praxi, jež představuje vědecký základ pro chápání a studium zdravotně podmíněných stavů jednotlivce včetně, možností jejich hodnocení. Důraz bude kladen rovněž na prezentaci uvedené klasifikace jako nástroje, který slouží ke sjednocení komunikace mezi jednotlivými profesemi, a to nejen zdravotnickými, a v neposlední řadě také v měřítku internacionálním. V roce 2007 vydala Světová zdravotnická organizace (WHO) ICF (=International Classification of Functioning Disabilities and Health) jako revidovaný materiál původní klasifikace (International Classification of Impairments, Disabilities and Handicaps) z roku 1980.
