Annotation -
Last update: Mgr. Ivana Kinkorová, Ph.D. (14.11.2023)
The course extends the theoretical knowledge of Biophysics and Biomechanics to experimental methods and their practical application. It may be appropriate for the choice of experimental diploma work, but also for future practice. Teaching takes place in a block and includes a separate solution of the problem by students.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Mgr. Ivana Kinkorová, Ph.D. (14.11.2023)

The course is intended for students studying Orthotics and Prosthetics. The goal is for students to gain a broader perspective and deeper knowledge about the use of biomechanical methods suitable for their medical practice.

Student skills and competencies
• can choose appropriate experimental methods for analyzing and solving the problem of the movement system using the methods of human biomechanics in the field of orthotics-prosthetics
• understands the principles of data processing from the basic methods of solid mechanics (kinematic analysis, dynamic analysis, accelerometer, gyroscope)
• is competent to calculate the instantaneous and average values of kinematic quantities of other kinematic quantities for sliding (including movement along a curve) and rotational movement
• Is able to assess the results of measuring the mechanical properties of tissues
