The course offers an introduction to opportunities for collegial support and sharing of professional experiences between teachers, either within a particular school or across schools. The course will introduce existing techniques for sharing and reflecting on professional experiences and collegial support, and specifically those currently used in Czech schools. The course will discuss the individual and team benefits of these techniques as well as the psychological and organisational barriers to their implementation. Emphasis will be placed on practical testing of these techniques. The course will include theoretical blocks supplemented by practical exercises. Learners will read recommended literature and complete prepared assignments according to a given schedule so that direct seminar sessions can be devoted to reflection on self-experiential activities and discussion of theoretical-empirical publications.
