The course introduces works of art in cultural institutions, public spaces and educational settings. Central themes comprise typology of art and cultural institutions, their missions, conceptions, collections, education programs in galleries and museums of art. Contemporary museums and galleries are viewed as media of communication. Gallery education in the context of contemporary pedagogical theories including theory of art education will be introduced. Examples of education programs and good practice will be taken from research projects and actual designs of education encounters with art.

1. Návštěva profesionálního prostředí – edukační oddělení a pojetí edukace v UPM. Komparace povahy galerijního a muzejního edukačního přístupu.

Analýza odborných textů. Pojmy a pricipy intertextuality a intervizuality v edukaci, nelineární (rizomatický) edukační přístup, kulturologické kontexty.

Návštěva profesionálního prostředí – seznámení s výstavním projektem UPM, kurátorským pojetím, principy  tematizace kulturního obsahu, příprava vlastního pojetí pedagogické transformace (oblast pedagogical content knowledge).

3. Týmová práce v profesionálním prostředí – dokončení návrhu edukace, práce v týmech, vzájemná evaluace (peer review) návrhů a jejich pedagogické nosnosti a proveditelnosti.

Spolupráce s edukačním oddělením UPM.

4. Finální doladění scénářů edukačního modelu k provedení v praxi, scénáře workshopů pro veřejnost, časová dotace, týmy, vedení a jmenovitá zodpovědnost.

Active participation in gallery workshops, analysis od case records and professional programs. Designing of a pilot program, peer review. Continual assesment of reflective journals and visual portfolio, submission of pilot studies on chosen issues.
