Theoretical and practical acquisition of methodology and didactics of basic swimming training of all ages. Use of teaching methods in swimming, didactics of swimming, familiarization with conditions, organization, hygiene and safety, swimming instruction according to age and performance groups, use of swimming aids for training and extension of swimming skills (boards, pontoons, earthworms, pads, paws, fins etc.) .), game elements and activities.

If it is necessary to introduce a distance form of teaching, this teaching will take place online in a virtual environment on the Microsoft Teams platform in the form of lectures, consultations for lectures, presentations of student assignments, including their analysis and reflection on these tasks and discussions.

1) Importance, tasks and goals of swimming
2) History of swimming - world development, swimming in the Czech Republic
3) Biomechanics of swimming
4) Stages of swimming training - didactic aspects of teaching, teaching methods, organizational forms, use of games in swimming lessons, safety aspects in teaching, swimming aids, swimming movements and skills
5) Influence of swimming training on the development of individual key competencies
6) Movement skills and their development in swimming
7) Sport swimming - swimming performance, psychological preparation, organization and management of swimming training, selection of talents
8) Framework educational program, school education program - swimming lessons (competences, expected outcomes, curriculum)


Students have three attempts to end the subject.
