The seminar intends to help the students in choosing an appropriate theme and methodology, as well as in questions concerning heuristics, and also in the orientation in the sphere of specialized disciplines which they will employ in the treatment of the matter of their choice. The seminars focus on basic rules of creation of diplomat heses, including their formal layout, as well as on discussions concerning problems of papers of individual students.

Cílem semináře je připravit studenta pro napsání diplomové práce  jako samostatného a nezávislého zpracování dosud nezkoumaného tématu z oblasti historie, zpracování, prezentace a interpretace kulturního dědictví, nebo z oblasti pedagogického a didaktického přístupu ke kulturnímu dědictví.

Thematic spheres.

 

1. The thesis begins by selection of an appropriate theme.

 

2. Every thesis is based on heuristics (= selection of sources).

 

3. How to do it, or, methodology and its pitfalls.

 

4. The thesis structure as skeleton of the future paper.

 

5. Every chapter must be an enclosed unit.

 

6. Citations, and various forms of them.

 

7. The significance of images: maps, tables, illustrations.

 

8.-12. Discussion concerning singular diploma theses.

 The condition of conferment of a course-participation  recognition is the submitting of both schedule of the future diploma thesis, and of one finished chapter.
