The aim of the course is to develop students' foreign language communicative competence from the expected C1 entry level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to level B1+. Students' speaking, reading comprehension, listening comprehension and writing skills are systematically worked on and developed, with increasing emphasis on accuracy, fluency and complexity of language expression.

The course is based on active participation of students in seminars (1-2 absences are tolerated). 

The final credit test covers: listening, reading, use of English (grammar, vocabulary) and writing. The minimum pass percentage is 70%. There is 1 resit.

The student will be required to present two written papers of 200 words and one oral presentation during the semester.
