Introduction into the didactics of the English language II is a theoretical and practical course consisting of a lecture and a seminar whose main aim is to get students acquainted with the key concepts from the area of subject didactics of the English language connected to the aims, subject matter and methods of ELT. The participants are also going to deal with various aspects of the learner of the English language as well as the roles of a teacher. They will also get acquianted with the area of class management. Attention will be paid to testing and marking and evaluation. Within the framework of the seminar these theoretical concepts will be implemented into teaching practice e.g. in the form of observing English lessons with a follow-up feedback as well as microteaching or the correction and marking of student written and oral performances.

Úvod do didaktiky AJ II je teoreticko-praktický kurz tvořený přednáškou a seminářem, jehož hlavním cílem je seznámit studenty se klíčovými koncepty z oblasti oborové didaktiky angličtiny navázanými na cíle, obsah a metody jazykového vyučování. Budou se zabývat různými aspekty žáka ve vyučování a taktéž rolemi učitele. Seznámí se i s oblastí řízení vyučovacího procesu. Pozornost bude věnována i testování, známkování a hodnocení. V rámci semináře budou tyto teoretické koncepty implemetovány do praxe například formou sledování vyučovacích hodin, jejich následného rozboru a mikrovyučování nebo opravu a hodnocení žákovských písemných prací a ústního projevu.

Requirements to the exam -

The examination assesses students´ knowledge of key concepts from the area of subject didactics of the English language.
The exam will have the form of a written test, the minimum passmark being at least 60% of total number of points.
Every student is granted one regular attempt + 2 re-sits.

U zkoušky se testuje znalost povinné literatury a klíčových konceptů z oblasti oborové didaktiky anglického jazyka.
Zkouška se bude konat formou písemného testu, kde bude třeba získat minimálně 70% bodů.
Každý student má jeden řádný termín + dva opravné
