Introduction to TEFL Methodology I is a theoretical and practical seminar, the main aim of which is to introduce students to the basic concepts and key concepts in the field of didactics (e.g., communicative competence, the role of the foreign language teacher, activity and its planning, lesson preparation, grading and evaluation of students). The seminar will define subject area of TEFL Methodology I and briefly introduce the most important factors of the teaching process. Students will learn about the objectives and content of teaching English as a foreign language. Attention will also be paid to the two most important actors in the teaching process: the learner and the teacher.

Úvod do didaktiky AJ I je teoreticko-praktický seminář, jehož hlavním cílem je seznámit studenty se základními pojmy a klíčovými koncepty z oblasti oborové didaktiky (např. komunikační kompetence, role učitele cizích jazyků, aktivita a její plánování, příprava na hodinu, známkování a hodnocení žáků). V rámci semináře dojde k vymezení pojmu oborová didaktika a budou stručně představeny nejdůležitější faktory vyučovacího procesu. Studenti se seznámí s cíli a obsahem výuky anglického jazyka jako cizího jazyka. Pozornost bude rovněž věnována dvěma nejvýznamnějším aktérům vyučovacího procesu: žákovi a učiteli.

To get the credit you need:
1 to have at least 80% attendance
2 to actively participate in all activities
3 to work out homework (duly and timely)
4 to successfully pass the end-of-term test (to achieve at least 70% of the total score)
To pass the test there are 3 attempts provided altogether.

Pro obdržení zápočtu je třeba:
1. minimálně 80% docházka do předmětu
2. aktivní účast v hodinách
3. vypracování zadaných domácích úkolů a jejich včasné odevzdání
4. úspěšné absolvování testu z dané oblasti, minimální skór činí 70% z maximálního počtu bodů
Test je možné dvakrát opakovat.
Součástí hodnocení je i jazyková a formulační úroveň.
