E-learning course of ECDL The project ECDL (in non-European countries known as ICDL) originated in Western Europe in response to problems associated with the rapid development of information technology. It was necessary to define the concept of computer literacy and to establish minimum objective knowledge that one needs to information technology, especially computers and the software effectively. Contribution of the project ECDL consists in that it provides an internationally recognized, objective, standardized method for verifying computer literacy through practical tests.
