A brief hisotry of mathematics beginning in the 6th century b.c., the crises in the development of mathematics. The start of causal thinking, beginning of logic. The problem of conditional and implication. Types of mathematical proofs. Algebraic identitities and equations. Algebraic inequality. Number theory problems. Combinatorics. Extremal tasks. Planimetry and stereometry problems. Talent in mathematics, features of mathematical talent. Methods of identification of pupils talented for mathematics. Multidimensional models of talent. Work with talented pupils. Competitions in mathematics.
