This course focuses on performative aspects of dramatic expression that can be used in the English classroom. The seminars will deal with dramatic analysis of selected British and American plays (Stoppard, Pinter, Churchill, Albee, Miller, Williams, Mamet, and Kushner). Students will discuss the plays and explore them through drama techniques such as play creation or structured drama. Consequently, they will rehearse and perform selected dialogues from the plays. Successful participation in the final performance is also the main credit requirement.
