The aim of the seminar is to introduced the possibilities of creating a children's library in kindergarten. It leads students to create a high-quality library of children's literature and to develop cooperation in the field of reading with their parents in order to foster the perception of reading as a lifelong attitude. The seminar focuses primarily on contemporary children's literature, orientation on the current book market and the possibilities of cooperation with libraries and other institutions. The seminar also includes a visit to the municipal library with a sample program for kindergartens. The seminar is realized through constructivistic teaching methods.

2. Obsah a organizace dětské knihovny, členění literatury pro děti z hlediska věkových zvláštností

3. Čtenářské koutky v mateřských školách

4. Orientace v současné knižní produkci v literatuře pro děti - oceňované knihy, knižní portály, oceňovaná nakladatelství

5. Projekty a kampaně, které pomáhají přivést děti ke čtení a k půjčování knih do rodin

6. Spolupráce mateřských škol s veřejnými knihovnami a rodiči

The seminar paper / oral exam consists of three areas:
a) reflection on the current state of the children's library in kindergarten;
b) designing the content of a quality children's library and the equipment of the reading corner;
c) proposal of cooperation of the kindergarten with parents, public library and the involvement in campaigns supporting reading.
Expected extent: 3-5 pages.
