Attention is paid to didactic issues of the development of primary school pupils' algorithmic thinking in the context of the development of reading and mathematical literacy and the development of skills to break down a problem into sub-problems. The inspiration for teaching approaches to the development of the computational thinking of primary school students is the work and ideas of S. Papert, I. Kalaš, M. Resnick, G. Futschek, V. Dagién and other representatives of the so-called logo culture. Attention is also paid to some risks associated with the use of digital technologies in the development of children aged 6-11. The course is designed as interactive lectures with "CSunplugged" examples and exercises.

Interactive lectures are linked with activities in LMS Moodle which will include the necessary study materials, the communication environment, and the partial tasks intended for continuous processing by students. During the course the students will solve partial practical problems reflecting the topics discussed.

1. Introduction into a concept of computational thinking.
2. Informatics in the primary school curriculum in the Czech Republic and some other countries.
3. Examples of teaching approaches to computational thinking development without computers (CSUnplugged).
4. Examples of teaching approaches to computational thinking development using robotic kits and programmable e-toys.
5. The main representative of LOGO culture community.
6. Examples of teaching approaches to computational thinking development using software applications.
7. Analysis of textbooks focused on computational thinking development at primary schools.
8. Educational Resources focused on pupil's computational thinking development.
9. The risks of using digital technologies in the development of children aged 6 to 11.

Students in pairs select one of the offered tasks which according to instructions (see the moodle course) they solve and submit as a set of files into moodle.
