The main goal of this course is to teach students to gain chemistry and chemistry education specific information from different resources, use them, elaborate and present correspondingly. The aim of this course is to make the students understood with information databases, "chemistry" typography specifics, work with scientific texts and methods of citing. During the course, the students learn about information resources, possibilities of their civilized saving, citation ethics, further they learn to use software facilitating the work with citations, they deepen their user knowledge of MS Office package and master other tools for creating chemistry formula or presentations. ABove all, they contribute to the creative spirit of the course.

Stěžejním cílem tohoto kurzu je naučit studenty získávat informace specifické pro chemii a její výuku z různých informačních zdrojů, tyto informace zpracovávat a výsledky prezentovat odpovídajícím způsobem. Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty s databázeni, zvláštnostmi "chemické" typografie, prací s odbornými texty a metodikou tvorby prezentací. V průběhu výuky se posluchači seznámí s odbornými zdroji informací, možnostmi jejich civilizovaného uchovávání, citační etikou, osvojí si práci se softwarem usnadňujícím práci s citacemi, prohloubí své uživatelské znalosti práce s balíkem MS Office, osvojí si další nástroje pro tvorbu chemických vzorců a prezentací. V neposlední řadě se řádně přidají k utváření tvůrčího ducha celého předmětu.

Podmínkou udělení zápočtu je vypracování závěrečné práce. Tu tvoří oblasti: vyhledávání v databázích, používání zdrojů - citování, zpracování rovnic a vzorců z anorganické chemie, zpracování rovnic, vzorců a nákresů z organické chemie a tvorba prezentací.
