Analytic approach to the following geometric transformations: Congruences, similarities, affine transformations in E2 and A2.
Aim of the course -
Last update: JANCARIK/PEDF.CUNI.CZ (04.06.2010)

The goal is to introduce the analytic description of geometric transformations in E2 (congruences, similarities, affine transformations) and solve problems with transformations using both synthetic and analytic ways. The students are encouraged to discover knowledge through problem solving.

Based on the university textbook "Hejný, M., Jirotková, D., Stehlíková, N. Geometrické transformace (metoda analytická). UK v Praze, PedF, Praha 1997", materials are being created which are available for students in an electronic way.
