The content of the course is to further build and develop the abilities and skills needed for current piano teaching. Emphasis is placed on students' own creative approach and constant search, development and finding ways to optimal instrumental teaching. An important part is getting an overview of major European and American instrumental schools. A comparison of different procedures, their advantages and problematic solutions helps students to penetrate deeper into the essence and principles of instrumental teaching and equips them with tools for creative thinking in pedagogical work. Part of the work is a practical interpretation of compositions used in individual schools. Part of the activity is directing students' attention to finding the meaning of a musical work and finding means to interpret it.
