The aim of the course is the application of the knowledge from the area of subject didactics in the context of secondary schools. Students get acquainted with the principles and ways of creation of basic curricular documents (ŠVP), mainly in connection with communicative competency. Subject didactics topics structured in accordance with the most important factors of the teaching process will be set into the context of teaching the English language at secondary schools. Analysis and evaluation of videorecordings of lessons taught at secondary schools will enable the students to more precisely identify and evaluate individual aspects ot teaching a foreign language and this way to focus their professional thinking. Topics: 1 factors of the teaching process 2 aims of teaching the English language 3 subject matter of teaching English (including teaching literature) 4 the learner 5 the teacher 6 teaching process management 7 planning lesson, stages in a lesson 8 evaluation in teaching foreign languages/error correction 9 other topics depending on the type secondary of school
