The course focuses on the description and practice of selected suprasegmental features of the English sound system,
particularly syllable structure, word stress, rhythm, reduction and intonation, which greatly contribute to better intelligibility of
fluent speech.

Kurz je zaměřen na popis a následné procvičení suprasegmentálních jevů anglické fonetiky a fonologie, především na
slovní a větný přízvuk, rytmus, redukování a intonaci, které výrazně přispívají k lepší srozumitelnosti plynulého mluvního
projevu.
