The course is focused mainly at developing the artistic skills in the photographic medium (and its expanded field – video, animation or mixed media). It expects concentrated work on the chosen theme, elaborating it within the language of contemporary art and find the adequate form of presentation. This course requires previous photographic skills as well as basic knowledge of complementary software, technique and art tendencies. Aim of consultations and practices is to broaden the scale of creative perception, to reflect current issues of contemporary (art) world and improve conceptual and visual thinking. Before the enrolment, each student is obliged to send the artistic portfolio to the teacher. Suitable only for students studying Art Education and Arts.

Presentation of a portfolio of own art works and themes. Finding and researching a suitable topic for the project. Conceptualization of the topic and examination of a suitable art medium and expression. Implementation of the project or its model. Project presentation, discussion and reflection.

At the consultation (online or in person at the beginning of the semester), the student will present a portfolio of his/her previous artworks and present his/her idea of the topic of the project he/she would like to deal with. The instructor must approve and accept the project topic before the student can enroll in the project in SIS.

Output is creating developed artist´s project (photographic series alternatively photography instalation or photography book) which reflects creative and conceptual visual thinking.
