The course acquaints students with the iconography of the Theme of the Epiphany on the example of the mural decoration of the Hradčany Sternberg Palace and the Church of the Epiphany in Smiřice and with the use of symbolics of the Sternberg family as an example of the building of ancestral myth. The participants will discuss how to update the way of thinking presented and its current meaning and evaluation. Particular attention will be paid to the importance of such thought paradigms in the transfer to contemporary pedagogy, especially in the field of art education.

Objectives: To acquire an updating system between the topics of art history and art pedagogy and the way of transferring the field discourses. Think and create an original personal written design of an art lesson on the subject under review and defend it.
