The specificity and basic concepts of printmaking techniques. Principles of graphic arts creation. Basic printmaking techniques - relief and intaglio prints. Exercises and experimentations in graphic and applied printmaking techniques ? linocut, woodcut, wood engraving, papercut, monotype and others. Graphic art, it?s origins and basic development. Analysis of important periods and works of printmaking art. Printmaking projects, cycles and editions. Possible ways of using printmaking techniques in the educational process.
