Critical realism and the genesis of a ?great novel? form, the typology of the novel in works of individual authors, the realistic drama and the short story. The democratisation of literature. Literary criticism and magazines of the period. Nekrasov, Turgenev, Goncharov, Ostrovsky, Sukhovo-Kobylin, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Dostoyevsky, Leo Tolstoy, Leskov. Poem ? the development of the genre. Poetry ? A. K. Tolstoy, Tyutchev, Fet. Realism and modern artistic movements ? symbolism, naturalism, impressionism, decadence, neoromantism, expressionism. Students learn about the development tendencies of Russian literature from the half of the 19th century till the beginning of the 20th century in comparison and close relation to the formation of Russian society and culture in the context of worldwide and Czech literary development.
