The goal is for students to consolidate and deepen their knowledge of analytic geometry of quadratic figures (in relation to linear figures) from the secondary school and to understand more deeply the connection of the structures of synthetic and analytic geometry and algebra.

Classification of conic sections: cirle, ellipse, hyperbola, parabola. Definition of conic sections as a set of points of given metric properties (two ways) or as a set of points of given affine properties (two ways). Mutual position of a conic section and a line, mutual position of conic sections.
