The seminar follows the lecture 'History of German-Speaking Countries' and is to introduce the history of German-speaking countries and enable to better understand historic events within certain historic eras. Students should work independently on seminar papers dealing with a topic chosen from the area of history of Germany, Austria and Switzerland; their work is to be based on independent research of both bibliography and primary sources.

Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty v návaznosti na přednášku Dějiny německy mluvících zemí s dějinami německy mluvících zemí a umožnit jim hlouběji pochopit dějinné souvislosti uvnitř jednotlivých historických etap v rámci témat vybraných pro práci v semináři. Obsahem kurzu je samostatná práce studentů při vytváření seminárních prací na zvolené téma z oblasti dějin Německa, Rakouska a Švýcarska založená na samostatných rešerších sekundární i primární literatury.
