The spoken part of language, phonetics - phonology, phone - phoneme, relation between phone and letter. Phonetic transcription, norm and codification of standard pronunciation. Respiration, phonation, articulation. Process of communication (perception and production of speech). Practicing standard pronunciation in seminars.

Cílem kurzu je uvedení do problematiky spisovné normované výslovnosti německého jazyka. Na přednáškách se posluchači seznamují s teoretickými základy disciplín fonetiky a fonologie. Na seminářích pak systematicky procvičují spisovnou standardní výslovnost a fonetický přepis. Obsah kurzu tvoří následující témata: Definice fonetiky a fonologie. Základní terminologie. Vztah mluvené a psané formy jazyka. Dělení fonetiky. Postavení fonetiky v systému ostatních věd. Výslovnostní norma a její kodifikace. Fonetická transkripce. Respirace, fonace, artikulace. Proces komunikace (percepce a produkce řeči). Seminář je zahajován vstupní nahrávkou neznámého textu.
