The aim of the course is introduce the main topics of the ethical theories and the most important philosophers, who dealt with the ethical questions through out the history. The students should learn how to read texts concerning ethics and how to deal with ethical questions in every day reality as well as develop these skills in their future pupils.

Předmět má posluchače seznámit se základními kategoriemi, používanými v systematické etice a nejvýznamnějšími postavami a směry z dějin etických teorií. Má posluchačům umožnit samostanout četbu etické literatury a orientaci v etické problematice. Odtud chce výuka odvinout schopnost posluchačů vnímat a řešit etické problémy a pomoci budoucím učitelům rozvíjet tuto schopnost i u jejich žáků.
