This course is an introduction to the interdisciplinary field of psycholinguistics, oriented mainly towards the needs of future teachers. It focuses on first and second language acquisition, communication of the hearing-impaired, biological prerequisites of speech, brain structure and functions, and language disorders. The topics of animal communication, the existence of innate language ideas, and the relation between language, thought, and culture are also discussed.

Tento volitelný kurz se jako úvod do psycholingvistiky zaměřuje především na potřeby budoucích učitelů. Soustřeďuje se na učení rodného i cizího jazyka, na komunikaci neslyšících, na biologické předpoklady jazyka, strukturu a fungování mozku a poruchy jazyka. Studenti se rovněž zabývají komunikací zvířat, vrozeností jazyka a vztahem mezi jazykem, myšlením a kulturou.
