The emphasis of this course is on the typological comparison of English and Czech, enhancing the students' awareness of the systemic differences between the two languages, as well as consciousness of cultural context and of the aesthetic function of language communication.

Svým pojetím jsou překladové semináře vyústěním typologické komparace angličtiny a češtiny, při níž se prohlubuje vědomí systémovým rozdílů obou jazyků a v neposlední řadě i vědomí kulturního kontextu a estetické funkce jazykové komunikace.
