The course aims to develop students´ ability to interpret and evaluate texts and to broaden their knowledge of the range of critical and theoretical approaches available. The course focuses on the close reading of selected literary texts in order to develop skills in interpretation. Students will also be encouraged to reflect on their own schemata as readers and consider the implications for their own teaching of literature.
