The course gives students a basic knowledge of the English syntactic structures within a simple sentence. The topics covered include sentence types based on their communicative goal and syntactic function, negation, minor sentences and sentence elements. Students also acquire the knowledge of systemic differences and similarities between Czech and English.

V kurzu získají studenti základní znalost anglických syntaktických struktur v rámci věty jednoduché. K probíraným tématům patří větné typy vycházející z komunikačního záměru a syntaktické funkce, zápor, neúplné věty a větné členy. Studenti se rovněž seznámí se systémovými shodami a odlišnostmi mezi češtinou a angličtinou.
