The course focuses on the analysis of the morphology of the English verb, categories of tense, mood, aspect, voice, the meaning and function of modals and other auxiliaries, transitive and intransitive verbs, the morphology of irregular verbs, and the meaning and use of phrasal verbs, as well as on the function of prepositions and conjunctions.

Kurz se zabývá morfologií anglického slovesa, zejména kategoriemi času, způsobu, rodu a vidu, významem a funkcí modálních sloves a jiných pomocných sloves, tranzitivností a intranzitivností, morfologií nepravidelných sloves, významem a funkcí frázových sloves, dále pak funkcí předložek a spojek. Stejně jako v prvním semestru i zde je důraz kladen na srovnávání anglické a české gramatiky.
