The aima of the seminar are to: 1. give students some insight into children's literature with respect to different literary types and genres, with the concentration on recent texts; 2. offer an interpretation of selected children's literature with educational accents, including the creation of their own questions, tasks and ideas for activities and their reflection. Active participation in seminars is expected.

Exam: on the basis of a list of forty books in the field of children's literature, the teacher selects one title, which the student then describes in detail in writing from the perspective of the child reader.
