The main focus of the seminar is the development and improvement of the students´ language competence (considering both fluency and accuracy) thanks to stimulating texts and activities. Students enrich their vocabulary and reinforce their knowledge of grammatical structures on an advanced level. Students will in particular practice their speaking and presentation skills.

V případě potřeby zařazení distanční výuky v průběhu semestru bude výuka probíhat prostřednictvím Zoomu. Požadavky na docházku budou stejné jako u prezenční výuky.

Course completion requirements

The course will cover each of the following 4 areas, and in the final credit test,

each one carries a mark of up to 25%.

These areas are: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Use of English (this last

section will consist of those areas of grammar and vocabulary covered in the course).

During the semester, they will be asked two present two pieces of written work,

and these should provide practice for the written test.

 

The students must take care to attend and are required not to be absent for more than one class.

 

A final mark of at least 70% is required for a PASS
