1. Attendance (no more than 2 missed classes) 2. Completing homework assignments 3. A story (300 - 400 words, deadline for the first draft: 5th April 2019, deadline for the final draft: 26th April 2019, criteria will be specified in class, max. number of points 10) 4. A written exam consisting of: - a grammar and vocabulary test (max. 10 points) - an opinion essay (300 - 400 words, criteria will be specified in class, max. 10 points) 5. An oral interview (in pairs) consisting of: - prepared talk (2 - 3 minutes, on one of seven topics specified in class, fluent, accurate, variety of used vocabulary, correct pronunciation, max. 10 points) - asking your partner 3 different questions related to his/her prepared talk, responding to your partner's questions (correctly formulated questions, three different grammatical structures, grammatically correct responses, max. 3 points) - role play (based on role cards, persuading and negotiating, using a variety of suitable phrases and discourse markers, a variety of arguments, a variety of used vocabulary, absence of basic mistakes, max. 7 points)
The final grade will result from the number of points collected for the final draft of the story, the written exam and the oral interview. 50 - 45 points..... 1 44 - 40 points..... 2 39 - 35 points..... 3
