1. Common operation systems - Windows, Unix, Linux

For Windows - advanced use, shareware utilities.

2. Text processors - LaTeX, Word, Word Perfect

Efficient works with text processors. Writing of typical scientific - title, authors, addresses, abstract, chapters, text with indeces and special characters. Text formatting, section numbering. Footnotes. Maths, figures, tables and their numbering. References. Bibliographic databases. Dictionaries.

3. Worksheets - Excel

Efficient work with worksheets. Functions, tables with entry, graphs. Solution of mathematical problems - examples (regression, interpolation, derivations, integrals, non-linear equations, system of equations).

4. Special programs for scientific calculations and graphs

  • Professional graphs - commercial programs - Axum, Origin. Shareware
  • Mathcad - variables, functions, matrices, graphs, symbolic calculations, programming. Examples
  • Mathematica - numeric and symbolic calculations
