Mathematical models describing physiological processes in biological tissues and their mechanical properties. Structure of tissues from the cellular level to tissue units and their mutual interactions, description of heterogeneous, porous media. Models of selected tissue types respecting multiphysical interactions at the microstructure level and methods of creating macroscopic models for modeling biomechanical subsystems. The subject provides a suitable opportunity to become familiar with methods and approaches to mathematical modeling for biomedical applications.
