Cryogenic liquids. Principles of liquefiers and refrigerators. Storage and transport of liquid refrigerants. Safety rules of handling with cryogenic devices. Materials for cryogenics, their mechanical, thermal and magnetic properties. Jointing techniques, welding and soldering. Elements of design of cryogenic devices. Thermal analysis of cryostats, thermal insulation. Strengths calculation. Low temperature measurement, temperature scales, sensors of low temperatures. Control and stabilization of temperature. Level indicators. Use of superconductivity.
