AI's use in various human areas makes it relevant beyond computer science. It's believed that this technology will change the world, thus requiring ethical reflection for its development and application. The Ethics of AI+ course offers an engaging online course, "Ethics of AI," in partnership with the University of Helsinki. It covers ethical aspects of AI and encourages ethical thinking about its development and practical use. Learn more at www. aivk.cz(http://www.aivk.cz). The course also includes lectures, seminars, and workshops on AI ethics.
Aim of the course -
Last update: RNDr. Tomáš Holan, Ph.D. (12.05.2023)

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have a basic overview of:

1. the ethics of AI.

2. examples of good and bad use of AI.

3. issues related to responsibility for the development and operation of AI.

4. the importance of transparency in AI and the risks associated with it.

5. the issue of human rights in the context of the development and use of AI.

6. the issue of fairness in the context of AI, examples of discrimination through AI, and what can be done to make these systems less biased?

7. the possibilities of AI ethics in practice and its future trajectories.

The participation of students in extra events in the form of lectures, workshops or seminars aims to deepen the knowledge acquired by taking the online course "Ethics of AI" or to broaden the horizon of their contextualization.

Evaluation of the online course "Ethics of AI":

Assessment is based on exercises, including multiple choice quizzes and questions that require a written response. Multiple-choice exercises are checked automatically. Written-response exercises are checked by other students (peer assessment) and in some cases by instructors. Passing the course requires successful completion of at least 90 % of the exercises and a minimum of 80 % accepted as passed.

The course is graded on a pass/fail basis (no numerical grade).

Credit for the course is recorded on a rolling basis, usually about once a month.

If the duration of the examination period is relevant to your studies, from our point of view the dates are governed by the MFF UK timetable.

We recommend that you complete the course at least 14 days before the date by which you wish to receive credit (among other things, you may have to wait a while for peer assessment).

A course can only be taken once within a faculty, it is not possible to get credit for it repeatedly.
