Methods of climate change detection

Observed recent climate change in the instrumental period: temperature, precipitation, extremes, other variables - in the Czech Republic, Europe, worldwide

Climate change in the pre- instrumental period, including methods

Climate system, its components, feedbacks

Basics of climate modelling, hierarchy of climate models (radiative-convective up to global climate models)

Climate modelling in a regional and local scale, dynamical and statistical downscaling

Radiatively active gases, greenhouse effect, emission scenarios, scenarios (projections) of climate change, uncertainties and their sources

Description of anticipated future climate changes in the Czech Republic and Europe

Attribution of climate change

Climate change impacts on selected sectors; agriculture, forestry, hydrology and water sources, human health

Carbon cycle, adaptation and mitigation measures
