This course prepares students for the state doctoral exam. The subject of the course is chosen based on the dissertation topic of the individual doctoral student. The subject of the course will not directly match the dissertation topic of the student, but instead, it will be complementary so that it broadens the expert knowledge of the student. The diverse study background of the doctoral student is also taken into consideration and this course is aimed to prepare them for a successful passing of the state doctoral exam.

Předmět slouží k přípravě na státní doktorskou zkoušku. Téma a obsahová náplň jsou voleny podle konkrétního zadání doktorské práce a jsou tedy specifické pro každého studenta. Téma se nebude shodovat se zadáním doktorské práce, ale bude voleno z příbuzných fyzicko-geografických specializací, tak aby vhodně rozšiřovalo odborné znalosti studenta. Je rovněž potřeba zohlednit, že do doktorského studia vstupují studenti z různých magisterských programů a tento předmět umožňuje individualně připravit studenta ke složení státní doktorské zkoušky.
