The lecture introduces students to cycles of As, Hg, Pb, Cd, Zn, S, N, C, O, P and H2O in the environment, with the size and speed of element fluxes in the environment. It focuses on resources versus sinks of the elements in the environment, on the effect of living matter on element fluxes. The course can be taught in English
