Pro pochopení některých částí předmětu je nezbytné předchozí absolvování předmětu MG452P21 Zpracování geofyzikálních dat, případně postačuje znalost základů numerického zpracování dat a diskrétní Fourierovy transformace.

Teoretický úvod do předmětu navazuje na předmět MG452P20 Obecné základy geofyzikálních metod, ale absolvování tohoto předmětu není nutné.
