This course follows the introductory petrology lessons and offers deeper understanding of composition, formation and diversity of magmas and magmatic rocks. In the first part, it focuses on elementary properties of magmas and processes of their formation, transport, emplacement, differentiation, and crystallization. Second part of the course concentrates on magmatic associations typical for individual geotectonic settings.

Kurz navazující na Základy petrologie magmatických a metamorfovaných hornin a poskytující hlubší vhled do problematiky složení, vzniku a diverzity magmat a magmatických hornin.
