Participants will be informed in detailed way about five main evolutionary degrees of embryophytes ("bryophytes", "psilophytes", "pteridophytes", "gymnosperms" and angiosperms) and their fossil representatives. The lecture should provide a modern systematical overview together with a presentation of fossil specimens.

Participants will be informed in detailed way about five main evolutionary degrees of embryophytes ("bryophytes", "psilophytes", "pteridophytes", "gymnosperms" and angiosperms) and their fossil representatives. The lecture should provide a modern systematical overview together with a presentation of fossil specimens.
1) Bryophytes
2) Psilophytes
(Protracheophyta, Paratracheophyta , Zosterophyllophyta, Trimerophytophyta)
3) Pteridophytes
(Lycopodiophyta, Equisetophyta, Polypodiophyta, Progymnospermophyta)
4) Gymnosperms
(Lyginodendrophyta, Cycadophyta, Ginkgophyta, Pinophyta, Gnetophyta)
5) Angiosperms
Lectures and practical demonstrations will be presented together.
