Lecture will offer a general overview of principles of scientific work, focused mainly on modern publication of scientific results and their presentation at international conferences. The information will be given by the stuff members of the Institute of Geology and Palaeontology of the Charles University in Prague.

Participants will be informed about methods of scientific work, mainly with respect to publication of results and their presentation in international conferences

1) Fatka - preparation of a scientific publication and presentation of results in international conferences

2) Kraft - preparation of Master and Bachelor Thesis and its formal requirements

3) Mazuch - work with graphical software (vector graphics, photo treatment)

4) Holcová - presentation of numerical data (tables, graphs)

5) Sakala - presentation in PowerPoint: final presentation + credits
