This short course will provide a comprehensive insight into the process of obtaining analytical (chemical) data from geomaterials (e.g. rocks and waters...).
Sample preparation before analysis/processing. The most common types of digestions (mineralizations) for geomaterials (e.g. mineral acid digestion).
Selected types of instrumental techniques for determination of major and trace elements in geomaterials (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, HPLC, titration etc.).
Specific work in the laboratory on selected decomposition technique / measurement on instrumentation (approx. 16 hrs / 2-3 days).
