The subject deals with selected aspects of teaching of extracurricular activities, e.g. scientific clubs and hobby activities, natural science camps or activities for the wider public. Courses are organized in the form of turn/block lessons at the faculty in Prague and outside the faculty as a part of regular natural science summer camps or other extraordinary activities of a similar nature. The course is also focused on theoretical and selected legislative aspects of the implementation of extracurricular activities in non-formal education, as well as there is a part of reflection of the student's participation in the extracurricular activities.
The course takes place in person, in case of impossibility to attend the faculty or the impossibility of full-time teaching, the course will take place in the online environment ZOOM.
It is necessary to log in to the ZOOM platform with a faculty/university e-mail and a faculty/university login!

Active participation in 3 coordination meetings and lectures, health training, OSH training and reflective discussion for practical teaching of extracurricular activities. The credits will be awarded after the approval of the guarantor at the latest by the date announced for the current academic year as the last
the day when it is possible to take exams and credits for the given academic year at the Faculty of Science of Charles University and enter the results in SIS.

1. Basics of free time pedagogy - frameworks for teaching extracurricular informal activities.

2. Didactics of extracurricular activities - ways of motivation and content transfer to pupils of given age groups, activity structure.

3. Legislative framework of extracurricular activities, especially recovery actions - approval process, necessary documentation, teacher responsibility.

4. Training of extracurricular activities.

5. Leading and lecturing on various types of extracurricular activities (camps, promotional and popularization activities, club, ...).

6. Reflective discussion, feedback (teacher vs. student) ...

The condition for the enrollment in the course is to pass a motivational interview with the guarantor. The course can be enrolled on the basis of an application signed by the student and approved by the guarantor, even after the deadlines for the electronic enrollment of subjects (the application is submitted to the Study Department; the application form is attached to the course). However, the deadline for enrolling in the course is 15 March for the LS, 15 October for the WS.
