The course is a basic biochemistry entrance in the context of science with general relations to physics and chemistry, and to mutual connection to biology. Its concept is designed for students of the first year of biochemistry program. The connection of this course is also to Practical course in biochemistry laboratory techniques (MC250C01). Another goal is to introduce to the student the scientific subjects of biochemistry solved by laboratories from the Department and cooperated institutions.

Requirements to the exam -
Last update: doc. RNDr. Miroslav Šulc, Ph.D. (24.10.2019)
The exam is a combined one - consting of the written and oral part. The condition for being allowed to the oral examination is to obtain at least 50% points from the written part.

To obtain the credit for seminars it is necessary to obtain the prescribed number of points (N); these points can be earned for attendance at exercises (1 point each), for current tests during the semester (max 2 points), or for the final test. (5 points)

Generally it is necessary to obtain at least N = n + 2 points, where n is the number of exercises during the semester; the final test can be repeated a total of three times, but is only counted once (the best result achieved).
