Introduction into analytical toxicology for clinical and forensic purposes.Practical laboratory demonstrations. Principles of pharmacokinetics and biotransformations of xenobiotics. A complex approach to the systematic toxicological analysis. Biological sample preparation for trace analyses of various toxic substances. Alternative materials and their role in toxicology. Screening and confirmation of unknown toxic substances in biological samples. Application of immunochemical and chromatographic methods for screening or targeted confirmation. The role of mass spectrometry for identification of unknown substances. Drugs of abuse and legislation. Interpretation as a part of toxicological analysis.
